The idea of trying to define love would go against the very essence of what I seek to communicate and experience. We humans have acquired the annoying tendency to name, label and define everything around us not in a relational exercise, but rather one of power over the rest. However, in order to understand the territories I want to explore with this diary a first step would be to understand that Free Love means exactly what it reads: the act of freeing our love. Free love isn't a new label to describe behavior. Liberating your love and eros means truly understanding how you love and feel, how you allow yourself to be loved and felt, in order to create environments where our love and eros flow freely, without fear or prejudice. In my experience, my love has been locked in ties, fears and constructs of society that have been placed upon all others in an exercise of power and oppression. Freeing love is my ultimate act of transformation in order to break historical cicles so new life can emerge and flourish. Through this diary, a journey of liberation and transformation materializes in a form I have been longing since I was a child. Having the tools, the strength and courage to express myself and share without fear what I learned and believe. Show me vulnerable to turn that vulnerability into collective power. Place inner desires, thoughts and feelings as a political matter at the core of societal transformation. Take off the masks of power exploring intimate spaces that those who believe have control are so afraid to show. This is not an individual diary, because if I exist, also others exist out there whose longing for freedom look like mine.
